These demi-gauntlets are another performance-armour original. They were conceived as an attempt to produce a combat-appropriate demi-gauntlet (a partial gauntlet intended for use inside of a basket hilt) that had a more period appearance than most of the demi-gauntlets that are on the field today.
These demi-gauntlets begin construction with a pair of fitted all-leather gloves, and have the needed protective plates attatched to the gloves with a spacer of sole-weight leather for padding. This creates a demi gauntlet that has a very period-appropriate appearance while still being very comfortable and providing a full range of motion in both the fingers and wrist.
