Shown above is a knight visor created for a Performance Sallet (a slightly different design with side pivots rather than the center hinge featured on our Performance Bascinets); and below you can see a knight visor created for a Performance Bascinet.
These visors are created from 16 Guage Stainless steel, and the Piercework lattice is cut into the sheet steel. The Lattice pattern of breaths is only one of many different piercework designs that look spectacular on these faceplates!
This faceplate also has a two-tone surface treatment (although it is somewhat difficult to see in these images!) the majority of the faceplate is highly-polished, while an outlined area around the latticework breaths are left in a satin finish. This sort of thing is a very classy, subtle, and highly-period touch to a helmet.
Airflow in this faceplate is excellent, and visibility is far superior to that in most full-plate faceplates.
