Period Suspension Liner for Helmets
Historically accurate suspension liners are available for performance armour helmets, these would consist of a leather and sinew suspension harness laced to the inside of a helmet, coupled with an arming-cap.
A suspension harness & arming cap (in your choice of colors) is available for $100.00
Helmet Padding
Helmet padding typically used for SCA and other combat sports is not offered as an option on Performance Armour helmets. The padding of a helmet varies so greatly by individual tastes/needs that we believe it would be potentially unsafe to offer this service.
However we will be happy to include a quantity of closed-cell foam rubber (sufficient to pad the helm) with a purchased helm for an additional $15.00
Armour Padding
Some individuals prefer to have the inside of their armour padded instead of (or in addition to) wearing a quilted undergarment. We will be happy to permantly adhere a layer of 1/2" thick closed cell foam rubber to the inside of your armour with appropriate contact adhesives. Note: If this is your intention, -please- specify it when ordering your armour, so that I can construct it with a little bit of extra room to accomodate the padding.
Armour padding is available for an upcharge of 5% from the price of the piece.
