The Performance Armour team will be happy to add straps with corresponding buckles to your harness for you (we'll want to chat first about the style of straps you prefer). We typically utilize heavy (15+ oz leather) for straps, because we hate broken straps as much as you do.
Straps, unless otherwise requested, will be natural leather. A number of other colors are available and will be quoted on a case-by-case basis (generally no-charge, unless you're wanting a color that we don't happen to have dye in-stock for, in which case it'll be about 5 bucks) click to view color choices.
Straps are typically attatched to a harness with copper belt rivits (the flexibility of the copper rivit, as opposed to a solid steel or brass rivit, increases the durability of the strap under shock)
Our standard buckles are Heavy-Duty Nickel-plated roller-buckles, however period Brass/tin buckles are also available.
Armour can be strapped by us for a cost of $5.00 per strap, or $10.00 per strap, plus the cost of the buckles, with period buckles.
