Weapon/Combat Systems
We are happy to customize your armour and weapons to meet the requirements of your particular Combat system.  To make any potential cost differences for doing so more easily figured by everyone, we have begun including a chart that breaks down the various weapon/combat systems into different categories.

These catagories are not intended to be all encompassing, and we're sure that the various systems/games we have listed under each catagory are similarly -not- all encompassing. . . if we've missed your particular game, please let us know, and we'll add it!   Instead, these catagories are designed to encompass the relative difficulty of us making a piece of gear legal for that particular system.  While the particulars of what constitutes legality vary a bit for each group. .  they are similar enough that we can say (for instance) that making a helmet legal for SCA use is basically the same level of difficulty (for us) as to make one legal for use with the Markland Militia.  Similarly, while Nero and Amtgard are very different rulesets. . . the amount of work we need to do to make a helmet legal for each system is similar.

Listed below are the categories we are currently using, and a compilation of systems that would fall into each category.
SCA
  • Society for Creative Anachronism
  • Markland Militia
WMA
  • Western Martial Arts
  • Adrian Empire
  • Other Systems utilizing live steel weapons (these usually require heavy-reinforced pierced metal, and/or very small eyeslots)
LARP
  • Dagorhir
  • Amtgard
  • NERO
  • Vampire the Masquerade
  • Belegarth
  • Other Live Action Role-Play Games.  (These typically utilize lightweight armour, and padded or Latex weapons.)
Joust
  • There are a variety of tournament groups, and performance groups that Joust, some with breakaway lances, some with foamed Lances, and some with stout lances and full falls.   Generally speaking, Jousting gear needs to be considerably stouter, and involve additional protection (notably for the neck!)
Historic
  • This category is meant to encompass a variety of historical re-enactments specific to a given time period, or battle.  Our emphasis here will be on creating a piece of gear that is as historically accurate as possible.  (ask us about our uber-authentic option!)
