This is the classic workhorse SCA bargrill design. Good visibility, good breathability, unfortunately not very period, and not particularly good looking.
Type 1 - Vertical Bargrill
Somewhat more period than the horizontal bar design (there are documented helmets with vertical baars similar to this design). Still good breathability, and good visibility, although some comment that the vertical bars interfere with vision more than horizontal bars, your mileage may vary.
Type 1 - Ship's Bow
The slanted bars on this design provide a better glancing surface for incoming blows than either horizontal or vertical bars.
I find that this style seems to annoy my vision more than some of the others, but as always, your mileage may vary.
